Why I Connect with Uraraka
I wanted to take this space to talk about what this character means to me. It goes way beyond just putting on a brown wig and huge boots.
At the beginning of Boku no Hero Academia, Uraraka seems like your typical sweet girl. She is cheerful, friendly, and always cheers on the protagonist. But the anime digs a little deeper into her story. When you discover why she wants to be a hero, it breaks your heart into a thousand pieces.
She isn’t looking for fame or glory. She wants to make money so her parents can retire and live a comfortable life without worries.

Ugh! You have no idea how hard that hit me. I spend my life hustling, creating content, and always looking for ways to grind. I am always trying to get ahead for the people I love. Because of that, I identified with her 100%. That super real, human mentality of “I’m going to work my butt off for my people” is exactly what drives me every single day.
We all have heavy days. Sometimes we feel like the gravity of life is crushing us. In those moments, you just want to do what she does. You want to bring your hands together, yell Release!, and send your worries flying with a smile. Her resilience and good vibes are contagious.

How can you be this much cute?
