6. Sojiro Sakura (Persona 5 the Animation)
Sojiro starts off looking like your typical grumpy cafe owner who just wants to be left alone. He agrees to house the protagonist (a teenager on probation) as a favor, and initially sets some incredibly strict rules. But beneath that gruff exterior lies a heart of gold. Not only does he become the only adult to support and believe in the protagonist when the rest of society labels him a delinquent, but his role as Futaba’s guardian is masterclass parenting. He respects her space, handles her social anxiety with infinite patience, and fights tooth and nail against abusive relatives to keep her safe. His curry and coffee are the definition of home.
