5. Kakushi Gotou (Kakushigoto)
Kakushi is a single father and a manga artist who draws some incredibly vulgar, raunchy comedies. His absolute worst nightmare is that his young daughter, Hime, will find out what he does for a living and grow up to hate him. To prevent this, he puts on a ridiculous but heartwarming daily performance: he leaves the house in a sharp business suit, goes to a secret warehouse to change into casual artist clothes, and reverses the process on his way home. His entire life revolves around keeping Hime’s innocence intact and making sure she never feels the void left by her late mother. It’s sweet, chaotic, and painfully real.
